“Life-Work” Balance at Hoffman & Hoffman

A lot of companies promote the fact that they have a good work-life balance, but at Hoffman & Hoffman, we want to put life before work. Your #1 priority should be the life you’re living outside of the office; we simply want to give you the means to be able to live an amazing life.  

Let’s look at how Hoffman & Hoffman cultivates a positive “life-work” balance:  

  1. We make sure your priorities stay up to date. As life goes on and you grow as a person, your priorities shift. Sometimes work can be your #1 priority, and that’s ok. But you also need to make sure you’re making time for yourself, for your family and friends, and for things that make you happy. We pride ourselves on our H&H leadership being observant and knowing their team members’ personal values. A check-in from your team leader can help make sure you’re constantly working towards your personal and professional goals.
     
     
  2. We work hard and play hard. Here at H&H, one of our core values is to earn success. When we see a team player who is willing to put in the work to build success, we like to reward them for their efforts. These rewards come in different forms including paid time off and potential bonuses at the end of the year. When you put in hard work to help H&H succeed, H&H makes sure you reap those rewards. Because Hoffman & Hoffman is employee-owned, when the company does well financially, that benefit flows back to our employee-owners.   

  3. We want you to take your PTO. That’s your time, and you’ve earned it! Whether it’s a staycation or a trip out of town, we want you to set up time throughout the year to enjoy your life outside of work. Of course, we appreciate the hard work you put in throughout the year, but we know it’s important to take a step back from work and focus on yourself. Paid time off allows you to do just that. You choose when to take your PTO, and if you happen to not use all your PTO hours one year, they will roll over to the next year. We highly encourage you to take advantage of your time away from the office, so that when you return, you’re ready to jump back into the team-building atmosphere at H&H.

  4. We want you to love what you do. At Hoffman & Hoffman, we know that your working environment can make or break your job. We are constantly trying to improve our culture in any way possible to ensure that our employees are happy to work here. Through anonymous surveys sent to our employees throughout the year, we’re able to identify areas that need more attention, and from there, we focus our efforts on improving those areas. For most working-class people, a job takes up a large portion of their week. At H&H, we want to shift the mindset of people having a “boring, run-of-the-mill corporate job”, to a mindset of “wow, I actually love my job and want to make this my career!"
