HVAC Ventilation Solutions for Offices

June 14, 2021

Ventilation. We all know about it, and we all know we have to have it, especially in commercial spaces. But, do we know why we need it and the importance of choosing the right commercial HVAC ventilation system for your space?

When you lack the proper ventilation system, your building occupants are most likely suffering for it. Many ventilation systems that need an upgrade are loud and cause distractions and frustrations throughout office spaces. It can also cause discomfort when the system isn’t properly filtering the air. When occupants go into an office space, they want to have a safe, comfortable, and healthy atmosphere. Achieving this is difficult if the air is stale or full of allergens or other pathogens.

Proper ventilation is all about controlling the indoor air environment with air flow through every season of the year. As a building owner or facility manager, with the proper ventilation system, you can reduce airborne pathogens, reduce humidity, increase efficiency, and save time and money, all while maximizing occupant comfort in your space.

Here are a few ventilation products you might consider for your office:

1. Square Centrifugal Fans: Square centrifugal inline fans include both direct- and belt-driven fans with backward-inclined or forward-curved wheels. Models feature rugged constructions, high-efficiency, and low sound levels. Square centrifugal inline fans are ideal for clean air applications, including intake, exhaust, return, or make-up air. 2. Axial Upblast Exhaust Fans: Axial fans are a cost-effective option for low to medium pressure applications. Roof-mounted models are designed to discharge clean air or fume exhaust up and away from the building. Typical uses are industrial space, warehouses, fume exhaust, and paint booth exhaust.

3. Centrifugal Supply Fans: Centrifugal roof supply fans include filtered and non-filtered belt-driven units. These fans are suitable for non-tempered kitchen make-up air or building supply air.

4. Energy Recovery Ventilators: The energy recovery wheel rotates between exhaust and supply airstreams and transfers both sensible (heat) and latent (moisture) energy. This energy wheel consists of and includes: Polymer heat transfer media for sensible energy transfer, silica gel desiccant permanently bonded to polymer media for latent energy transfer, removable segments for ease of maintenance, and a five-year manufacturer’s warranty (less motor).

5. Centrifugal Downblast Exhaust Fans: Roof-mounted centrifugal downblast exhaust fansCentrifugal Downblast Exhaust Fans include direct- and belt-driven fans. These models have backward-inclined centrifugal wheels. These fans are suitable for applications exhausting relatively clean air.

7. Axial Upblast Exhaust Fans: Axial fans are a cost-effective option for low-to-medium pressure applications. Roof-mounted models are designed to discharge clean air or fume exhaust up and away from the building. Typical uses are industrial space, warehouses, fume exhaust, and paint booth exhaust.

9. Equipment Screens: Building aesthetics are important. Equipment screens hide equipment while providing protective barriers.

10. Square Centrifugal Fans

11. Ceiling Exhaust Fans: The ceiling and cabinet fans are direct drive models that have forward-curved wheels for low sound and high efficiency. These are suitable for clean air applications, such as bathroom, storage room, or office exhaust fans. Ceiling Exhaust Fans

12. Indoor Air Handling Units: Belt driven fans designed for air conditioning and/or heating specified spaces in schools, medical facilities, and office buildings.

13. Combination Fire Smoke Dampers: Combination fire and smoke dampers are used in
