Basics of Air Filtration
Air is something most of us take for granted. For the most part, we breathe in and out throughout the course of our lives without giving a single thought to the air we're breathing. However, HVAC system designers and facilities staff don't have that luxury.
Design engineers and building facilities teams regularly think about air quality for building occupants and particulates in the air that could cause costly HVAC equipment damage.
Our manufacturing partners are also thinking about air quality. For example, Price Industries released a blog this week on the basics of air filtration, particularly focused on the removal of particulate contaminants in supply air. This is a terrific read for design engineers, especially recent graduates or those new to the HVAC industry.
The blog covers high efficiency filters, diffusion, inertial impaction, electrostatic attraction, and much more.
