Manufacturer News: Ruskin New Data Center Dampers

October 6, 2020

Data centers depend on high performance and reliability, and that’s exactly what Ruskin had in mind when they released three new commercial damper models specifically for these facilities. The DC model dampers are equipped with airfoil blades for low pressure drop, as well as Class 1A leakage performance for the ultimate energy savings. And it does not end there. If you are a little tight on space, these dampers also have a new coupler that joins two damper sections without a jackshaftallowing an actuator to be mounted on the side of the frame to provide a narrow profile. These data center dampers have everything you need to make them the newest solution for your commercial HVAC system.

Here is a deeper look into the three new data center dampers

    1. CD60DCHigh-Performance Galvanized Steel Airfoil Blade Damper
      • The CD60DC offers the lowest AMCA leakage rating of 3 cfm/ft2 at 1” w.g., which meets the requirements of the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). This model features one-piece roll-formed airfoil blades for minimal pressure drop and a robust uniframe design.

    2. CD50DC: High-Performance Control Damper - Extruded Aluminum | Airfoil Blade Damper
      • The CD50DC offers the lowest AMCA leakage rating of 3 cfm/ft2 at 1” w.g., which meets the requirements of the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). This model features extruded aluminum airfoil blades for minimal pressure drop and a reinforced frame.

    3. TED50DC: Thermally Efficient Extruded Aluminum Insulated Airfoil Blade Damper
      • The TED50DC offers superior overall performance including thermal efficiency. It also has the lowest AMCA leakage rating of 3 cfm/ft2 at 1” w.g., which meets the requirements of the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). Each blade has a break strategically placed between twin-blade edge seals to eliminate thermal transfer to help reduce the potential for condensation.
